Urologist - Outpatient

Compensation: $750,000 per year

Job Type: Full-Time | Collaborative Schedule (Strategic shift design to ensure comprehensive week-round service coverage)

Location: Mattoon, Illinois (with expansion opportunities)

We have partnered closely with a premier regional healthcare facility to recruit a full-time, Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) Urologist. This high-demand specialty position offers an elite financial package, a well-established mid-level support infrastructure, and substantial regional expansion potential. Joining an active department, you will play a key role in expanding urological care across the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive medical and surgical urological interventions to a robust and rapidly growing regional patient base.
  • Collaborate seamlessly alongside the current department infrastructure, which is comprised of one established urologist and two experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs).
  • Coordinate clinic and surgical schedules to optimize department operations, with a specific focus on covering key mid-to-late week blocks to maintain comprehensive patient access.
  • Utilize the modern surgical suites, while capturing immense market expansion and outpatient surgery opportunities in nearby locations.
  • Participate in a manageable call rotation encompassing both clinic and Emergency Department consults, strictly adhering to medical staff bylaws capping call at a maximum of 1 in 3.
  • Maintain thorough, accurate, and timely electronic medical records for all clinical visits, consultations, and operative procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution
  • Successful completion of an accredited Urology Residency program
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Urology
  • Active, unrestricted Illinois state medical license (or immediate eligibility to obtain)
  • Valid DEA registration
  • Excellent clinical and surgical skills, with a collaborative communication style optimized for a team-centered practice model
