Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS) seeks a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Urologist to join our exemplary urology team delivering high-quality care to Veterans. You will perform pre-operative assessment, exams and adult urological surgery, with potential faculty appointment at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix.

The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule and a comprehensive benefits package, including paid leave, CME, malpractice coverage, and federal employment

Qualifications

  • Board-certified or board-eligible in urology.
  • Eligible for U.S. medical license and VA privileges.
  • Experience in adult urological surgery; robotics a plus.
  • Strong communication and teaching skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre-operative assessment, examination and perform adult urological surgery.
  • Manage genitourinary injuries and diseases, including major and minor procedures.
  • Collaborate with VA team and participate in teaching residents and medical students.

Job description

Phoenix VA Health Care System (PVAHCS)

has an immediate full-time opening for a Board-Eligible /Board-Certified Urologist to join our exemplary Urological team providing extraordinary care to Veterans and fulfilling the VA Mission. We are looking for a Urologist who enjoys a collaborative environment and can be an effective communicator with colleagues, patients and/or families. You will perform a variety of urological services including pre-operative patient assessment, exam, management, and all aspects of adult urological surgery.

Duties also include providing surgical treatment for genitourinary injuries and diseases, including major and minor procedures. Robotics training/experience is a plus. You may be considered for a faculty appointment at the University of Arizona College of Medicine - Phoenix and be integral to the education and teaching of urology fellows, residents, and medical students.

Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (approximate & minimal call)

  • **Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) Authorized: This position is eligible for EDRP, a student loan payment reimbursement program. You must meet specific individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit your EDRP application within four months of your start date. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application.
