Job summary

The West Palm Beach VA Medical Center in Florida is seeking a highly qualified Urologist to join Surgical Care Services. The physician will evaluate and treat urological conditions, perform surgeries, and oversee preoperative and postoperative care for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

This full-time role involves on-call duties, teaching responsibilities, and collaboration with primary care to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• United States Citizenship required
• Doctor of medicine or equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine
• Current full and unrestricted license to practice medicine in the United States
• Residency training in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility
• Proficiency in spoken and written English

Responsibilities

• Perform urological surgical procedures and related admissions, consultations, work-ups and postoperative care
• Provide evaluation and treatment of urological conditions
• Manage inpatient and outpatient urology services and coordinate with primary care and specialists
• Participate in Emergency and On-Call schedule
• Teach and supervise trainees and staff in urology
• Contribute to department quality assurance and patient care improvement programs
