Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a board-certified/board-eligible urologist to provide comprehensive care for urinary tract and reproductive system conditions. The role involves surgical procedures, diagnostic testing, and leadership of Urology residents within the VA system.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen or eligible for VA employment
• Current, full and unrestricted medical license to practice medicine in the United States
• Completed residency in an approved core specialty leading to board eligibility
• English language proficiency in speaking and writing

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist care for male and female urinary tract conditions and disorders of the male reproductive organs
• Perform abdominal, pelvic, or retroperitoneal surgeries when necessary
• Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests relevant to urology
• Supervise and educate Urology residents and VA staff
• Participate in Joint Commission readiness, quality assurance, and process improvement initiatives
