Job summary

ComForCare Home Care in Carol Stream, IL, is seeking compassionate caregivers for in-home, one-on-one senior care with a Monday–Friday daytime schedule. You will start at 8:00 AM and support a single client in their home, delivering personal care and companionship.

Eligible roles require strong communication, reliability, and the ability to pass a background check. CNA preferred but not required; valid driver's license and auto insurance are essential. Training and office RN support provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one home care tailored to each client.

• Assist with meal prep, light housekeeping, laundry, and organized living space.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to promote well-being.
• Provide medication reminders per care plan.
• Observe and report changes to office/care team.
• Complete accurate documentation per agency standards.

What You'll Do

As a trusted member of our caregiving team, you'll provide personalized care that enhances your client's independence and quality of life.

Your responsibilities include:

• Deliver compassionate one-on-one home care tailored to the client's individual needs.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Support safe mobility, transfers, repositioning, and fall prevention.
• Assist with meal preparation, light housekeeping, laundry, and maintaining an organized living space.
• Offer companionship, conversation, and emotional support to promote overall well-being.
• Provide medication reminders according to the client's care plan.
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition to the office and care team.
• Complete accurate documentation while following all agency care standards.

Qualifications

We're looking for dependable professionals who are committed to delivering exceptional care.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA certification is preferred but not required for qualified caregivers.
• Previous experience as a Caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or Private Duty Caregiver.
• Experience providing senior care, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, companion care, personal care, or in-home care services.
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, patient-centered approach.
• Ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in the client's home.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Current Auto Insurance.
• Reliable transportation.
