Job summary

Philadelphia Technician Training Institute is seeking a compassionate ASL/ CDI Interpreter to support a newly enrolled deaf student. This urgent role ensures the student has full access to instruction, communication, and hands-on training throughout the program.

The position runs for 4 months (or until program completion), with a Monday–Friday schedule from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Immediate filling is preferred to ensure uninterrupted support for the student.

Qualifications

• ASL proficiency required for interpreting in classroom settings.
• RID certification or equivalent preferred, not required depending on experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time ASL interpretation during classes, labs, and school activities.
• Facilitate clear communication between the student, instructors, and peers.
• Support the student consistently throughout the program schedule (12 PM – 7 PM).
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accuracy in interpretation in a fast-paced environment.
