Job summary

Carbon Health in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Limited License X-Ray Technician for a full-time position. You will prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and support radiology workflow to ensure smooth imaging operations.

The role requires ARRT or an equivalent credential, CRT, CPR-BLS, and potential DOT certification training with reimbursement where applicable. You will work under established procedures and contribute to patient safety and imaging quality.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
• 3+ years in healthcare leadership experience.
• Current CRT certificate.
• Current CPR- BLS.
• ARRT registration or equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging and explain procedures.
• Apply radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
• Prepare images for reading by Radiologist.
• Assist with Medical Assistant duties to ensure optimal patient flow.
• Attend staff and departmental meetings.
• Become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests.
• Propose improvements to processes and workflows.
• Work autonomously within established procedures and practices.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Prepare and position patients for diagnostic imaging; explain procedures to patients to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff
• Prepare images for reading by Radiologist
• Assist with Medical Assistant duties to ensure optimal patient flow
• Attend staff and departmental meetings
• Complete training and become certified with the Department of Transportation to perform Urine Drug Screens and Breath Alcohol Tests
• Proposes improvements to processes and workflows
• Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.

ABOUT YOU

• Has advanced and specialized expertise, typically developed through job-related training and considerable work experience. May act as a lead, coordinating and facilitating the work of others, but is not a supervisor
• Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3+ years in healthcare leadership experience
• Current CRT certificate
• Current CPR- BLS
• Licensure/Certifications:Current registration with The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), or have an equivalent Radiologic Technology credentialing agency
