Job summary

CityVet is seeking a Veterinary Technician (VT) to join our Urgent Care team. You will work to support veterinarians, improve patient care, and help maintain efficient daily operations in a fast-paced, pet-loving environment.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of veterinary experience, understands veterinary terminology and medications, and can safely restrain animals. Weekend shifts are required, with potential for a hybrid schedule depending on clinic needs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medications.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarian in urgent medical and surgical cases.
• Prepare lab samples.
• Interpret cytology and urinalysis results.
• Run in-house lab work and prepare samples for send-out analysis.
• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthetic patients.
• Prepare cost estimates and fill prescriptions.
• Educate clients.
