Position Details

Location: Webster Groves Animal Hospital, Webster Groves, MO

Summary: Webster Groves Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital serving the St. Louis community with a large DVM team and expanded hours. Most urgent care cases occur in the evening, with general practice during daytime hours. We offer a shift differential of $2.50/hour for hours after 6 pm and weekends. Responsibilities

• Review patient medical records and update in the system.
• Take medical histories and vital signs.
• Maintain educational materials for clients.
• Perform departmental housekeeping duties.
• Admit and discharge patients.
• Handle prescription refills and coordinate with pharmacies.
• Monitor hospital patients and log vital signs.
• Administer medications and perform blood draws.
• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and anesthesia procedures.
• Lift up to 50 pounds, and stand or stoop for extended periods.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED, with 1-2 years of related experience preferred. Registered Veterinary Technicians in [STATE] are preferred but not required. Willing to train the right candidate. Must be able to multitask and perform essential duties satisfactorily.
