Job summary

PetVet Care Centers' Animal Medical Center of New England in Nashua, New Hampshire, is seeking a Full-Time Urgent Care Veterinary Assistant to join our team. You will support veterinarians and technicians, provide compassionate care, and assist with surgeries and daily tasks.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a veterinary hospital.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to venipuncture, place IVCs, take radiographs, and perform BLS/ALS/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care to all patients
• Greet patients and owners, record weight and vital signs
• Triage patients, assist with exams, treatments, and medications
• Calm and soothe anxious patients
• Assist doctors with medications and patient restraint
• Perform laboratory tests and take radiographs
• Operate and maintain hospital equipment
• Fill prescriptions and maintain medical records
• Maintain hospital cleanliness and safety
• Promote hospital products and services
• Respond to directions from DVM or LVT.
