Job summary

UrgentVet Hospitals in the Pittsburgh area seeks a Full-Time Senior Veterinary Assistant to help provide outstanding patient care, team leadership, and client service in a fast-paced, state-of-the-art urgent care clinic.

Our clinics manage after-hours care for canine and feline patients with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house lab equipment, focusing on wound care, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia while maintaining a compassionate, collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Animal handling experience including patient restraint, sample collection, and monitoring.
• Clinical skills including phlebotomy, catheter placement, laboratory analysis, and drug calculation.
• Additional duties including facility maintenance and client education.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding patient care in a fast-paced clinic.
• Lead team and support client service.
• Assist with daily clinic operations and on-site training as needed.
