Job summary

American Veterinary Group's UrgentVet Carytown in Richmond, Virginia, seeks a part-time Urgent Care Veterinarian.

We provide after-hours care for canine and feline patients with single-doctor shifts, addressing wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia, using cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house labs.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college.
• Active license in good standing to practice in the employed state (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate and engage with the clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within the practice and the Richmond community.
• Encourage growth of support staff through internal LevelUp training.
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during open hours.

UrgentVet Carytown bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the Richmond, Virginiaarea. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.
