Job summary

UrgentVet in Grandville, Michigan, is seeking a compassionate DVM for our after-hours urgent care clinics. You will provide compassionate care for common urgent cases, work with a strong clinical team, and deliver client-focused service in a fast-paced, paperless setting.

You will access cloud-based EMR and IDEXX in-house lab equipment, participate in a supportive mentorship, and enjoy a flexible schedule with swing/second shifts at modern facilities.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college or successful completion of equivalent (ECVFG/PAVE)
• Active license in good standing to practice in the employed state or ability to obtain license

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach
• Collaborate with clinical team and leadership
• Grow relationships within the practice and local community
• Support staff development through internal LevelUp training
• Manage varying caseload including surgeries and appointments during open hours

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the CITY, STATE area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during our open hours

Skills Knowledge, and Expertise

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college (or successful completion of the ECFVG or PAVE program)
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state in which candidate will be employed (or the ability to obtain a license in that state)
