Job summary

UrgentVet in the Pittsburgh area provides after-hours urgent care for dogs and cats with a single-doctor model and no wellness visits. The clinics are equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and IDEXX in-house labs to support efficient patient care.

The positions emphasize flexibility in swing/second shifts, a strong technical team, and brand-new, modern hospital facilities to deliver focused urgent care in the community.

Qualifications

• DVM/VMD degree from an AVMA accredited college or approved equivalent.
• Active license in good standing to practice in the state of employment, or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Serve patients and clients with a relationship-based approach.
• Collaborate with the clinical team and leadership.
• Grow relationships within the practice and the Pittsburgh community.
• Advance staff development through internal LevelUp training program.
• Manage a varying caseload, including surgeries and appointments during open hours.

Education

UrgentVet bridges the gap between daytime general practice and emergency/overnight care in the Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania area. We offer after-hours care for canine and feline patients without the additional expense of emergency clinic fees. Our single-doctor shifts offer care for common urgent cases, including wound management, ear infections, vomiting/diarrhea, and euthanasia. Each of our paperless clinics is specially designed to deliver efficient care and equipped with cloud-based EMR, digital x-ray, and a full suite of IDEXX in-house lab equipment.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
