Tempus Recruitment's client operates a privately owned urgent care veterinary hospital in the United States. The role is for an Urgent Care Veterinarian working three 10-hour shifts per week with a base salary in the $180k–$220k range, plus production bonuses and other benefits.
The hospital offers state-of-the-art facilities and potential for expansion of weekday coverage. Open from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm (Mon-Fri) and 10:00 am to 10:00 pm on weekends; PTO, CE opportunities, and loan assistance
Our client is a privately owned, urgent care veterinary hospital seeking an Urgent Care Veterinarian to join their team. The hospital works closely with its sister 24/7 emergency and specialty hospital, creating a strong connection between the urgent care and emergency teams and allowing for smooth transfers when patients require a higher level of care.
As an Urgent Care Veterinarian, you will manage patients presenting with non-critical urgent medical needs, including assessing and triaging incoming cases, performing physical examinations, developing diagnostic and treatment plans, interpreting diagnostic results, treating illnesses and injuries, and determining when patients require transfer for emergency or specialty care. You will communicate clearly with pet owners regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and ongoing care while working collaboratively with the wider veterinary team. The urgent care and ER teams communicate closely, meaning the emergency hospital can be prepared and ready to receive patients requiring transfer. The full-time schedule consists of three 10-hour shifts per week.
The hospital operates as a state of the art urgent care facility and is fully equipped with modern technology to ensure the highest level of care is provided. The hospital is open to investing in new equipment based on suggestions from its doctors. The hospital is open from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm Monday through Friday and from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm on weekends.
The hospital currently has one veterinarian on shift Monday through Friday and two veterinarians on shift during the weekends. As the hospital continues to grow, the goal is to expand weekday coverage to two DVMs on shift.
