Little Angels Veterinary Urgent Care, is the only strictly urgent care clinic in the Clarksville TN area. We pride ourselves on providing great care at affordable prices. We believe that every pet parent should have access to basic urgent care, even on a limited budget. We are privately owned, and always will be. If you want to get away from the corporate model... this is the place for you! We strive to better our skills through continuing education, and team collaboration. We may not have the corporate backing, but have all the fun toys, including Idexx suite lab equipment, digital x-ray, ultrasound, oxygen cages, incubator, Ligasure, Electrocautery, Cloud based software, and we utilize AI software for medical record purposes. Our staff is highly skilled, and qualified to aid in the treatment of any and all emergencies that may walk in the door. We love to teach, so mentorship is available.
Duties
- Conduct thorough examinations on animals to diagnose health conditions
- Develop and implement treatment plans for sick or injured animals
- Perform emergency surgery as indicated. (Pyometra, C-sections, Foreign bodies, cystotomies, lacerations). We have a board certified surgeon that does our orthopedics and more complicated surgeries.
- Prescribe medications and educate pet owners on proper animal care
- Utilize aseptic techniques in surgical procedures and laboratory work
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Provide critical care to animals in emergency situations
- Degree in Veterinary Medicine from an accredited institution
- State licensure as a Veterinarian
- Strong knowledge of animal physiology, husbandry, and handling
- Proficiency in veterinary critical care practices
- Ability to restrain animals safely and effectively
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to veterinary medicine
