Job summary

Hartford HealthCare-GoHealth Urgent Care seeks experienced Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners for per diem coverage in Lisbon, CT. Providers will deliver urgent care services to both adult and pediatric patients, including triage, diagnostics, and treatment.

A strong emphasis is placed on assessment, patient communication, and teamwork. Candidates should have an active PA or NP license, national certification, and 1 year of ER or urgent care experience.

Qualifications

• Active professional license as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner.
• National Certification and state medical licensure.
• Experience in urgent care, ER, or high-acuity family medicine required.

Responsibilities

• Examine and treat patients across long and short episodic visits.
• Take detailed medical histories and document findings.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests including X-rays and EKGs.
• Diagnose, prescribe medications, and manage minor injuries.
• Educate patients and coordinate referrals when needed.
• Document progress notes and participate in follow-up care.
