Job summary

Northeast Kingdom Human Services (NKHS) is looking for two Urgent Care Therapists to join their Front Porch Urgent Care Center in Newport, Vermont. This role focuses on clinical services for individuals with mental health and substance use needs, specifically in crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment.

The successful candidates will utilize evidence-based practices to provide comprehensive care, support community education, and maintain high-quality clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in crisis intervention and suicide risk assessment.
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices, particularly CAMS.
• Ability to work with individuals with co-occurring mental health and substance use needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide screening, assessment, diagnosis, and evaluation services.
• Deliver crisis intervention, including suicide risk assessment and safety planning.
• Provide clinical case management services.
• Offer consultation and education to community members and partners.
• Work with individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use conditions.
• Apply the CAMS framework in clinical practice.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of suicide-specific quality standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
