Job summary

Gundersen Health System in Onalaska, WI is hiring an Urgent Care Technician/EMT for part-time (0.6 FTE) shifts. Starting pay is $19.05 per hour with shift and weekend differentials.

You will join a multidisciplinary team that includes MDs, PAs, NPs, RNs, and other EMTs to deliver high-quality patient care in a dynamic urgent care setting. Qualifications include High School Diploma or equivalency, NREMT or Wisconsin EMT-B certification, and current Infant-Adult BLS for Health Care Providers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency is required.
• NREMT or Wisconsin EMT-B certification is required.
• Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers is required.
• Prior work experience in an emergency or pre-hospital setting is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist in urgent care with patient exam and care as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Collaborate with MDs, PAs, NPs, RNs, EMTs, and other staff to deliver patient care.
• Stabilize patients and transfer to Emergency Services at the main campus when needed.
• Support for orientation and training as shifts change.
