Job summary

The Registered Nurse Clinic is responsible for providing professional nursing for patients following established standards and practices. Assists physicians and staff with the daily coordination of patient care and patient access.

Coordinates patient flow, schedules appointments, procedures, tests and referrals. May serve as preceptor for clinical staff, working under minimal supervision to lead and direct others within scope of practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Proficient in English language, verbal and written communication skills, computer skills.
• Current Louisiana State RN; BLS.

Responsibilities

• Patient Care: provide professional nursing following established standards; assist physicians and staff with coordinating patient care and access.
• Coordination of Care: manage patient flow, schedule appointments, procedures, tests and referrals; participate in planning and collaboration.
• Quality: mentor and support staff, participate in quality improvement and apply evidence-based practice.
• Other Duties as Assigned: participate in committees as needed; act as a backup for others in the department.
