Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in Dedham, MA is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform a wide range of radiology exams and assist with patient registration. You will prepare and position patients, enter orders, and evaluate images to ensure accuracy and quality.

The role demands ARRT registration, MA Rad Tech license at start date, and a BLS certification. Prior radiography experience is valued, and the position is on-site within an established urgent care service.

Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical training in Medical Radiography required.
• Associate's degree in Medical Radiography preferred.
• License MARadTech-Radiography required.
• Registration American Registry of Rad Tech required.
• Certificate 1 Basic Life Support required.
• 0-1 years related work experience required.
• New hires must have MA Rad Tech license by start date.
• 30 days to provide BLS certification with AHA.
• New graduates may have Temp MA Rad Tech License and ARRT eligible 1 year from graduation.
• Advanced technical computer skills for functional area systems.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients for diagnostic exams of various body parts, setting up equipment as needed.
• Enters instructions into computers, monitors and evaluates images for accuracy and completeness.
• Makes necessary adjustments when needed.
• Evaluates radiographs for image quality and completeness.
• Responds to patient's physical and psychological needs.
• Explains all procedures clearly to avoid unnecessary anxiety.
• Uses proper hand hygiene before and after patient contact.
• Observes patient's condition and reports any changes to nurse or physician.
