Job summary

Aultman Health System in North Canton, OH is seeking a part-time Urgent Care physician to provide clinical medicine services for urgent care patients ranging from children to adults. You will perform history, exams, diagnoses and treatment, and work under the Urgent Care Medical Director and Operations Director.

Responsibilities include promoting efficient patient flow, documenting in EMR, coordinating with nursing staff, handling follow-up communications, and adhering to Ohio medical board

Qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted Ohio medical license.
• Board certification in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine preferred.
• Maintains medical liability insurance.
• Continuing medical education as required by carrier.
• Proficient with EMR and computer systems.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with flexibility and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to urgent care patients aged 0-17 and adults.
• Perform history, physical exams, assessments, diagnoses and treatments.
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans as appropriate.
• Coordinate with nursing and support staff; supervise as needed.
• Refer to specialists for follow-up and additional care.
• Maintain documentation in EMR; ensure timely charting.
• Educate patients on disease management, prevention, and follow-up.
• Adhere to infection control policies and Ohio medical board mandates.
• Promote smooth patient flow and high-quality, cost-effective care.
