Patriot Urgent Care in Prince Frederick, MD is seeking a full-time Physician (MD/DO) to deliver timely urgent care. Expect 13–15 12-hour shifts per month, averaging about 40 hours per week with a predictable schedule established three months in advance and limited weekends.

You will diagnose and treat acute illnesses, perform urgent care procedures, order tests, document in EMR, and collaborate with staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Maryland medical license (MD or DO) with board certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school with completion of a residency in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and urgent care procedure skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and EMR documentation requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries; develop evidence-based care plans.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing, splinting, I&D, digital block, and wound care.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing, including X-rays and laboratory results.
• Provide patient education, discharge guidance, and follow-up recommendations.
• Document accurately and promptly in the EMR and follow clinical safety standards.
• Partner with clinical staff to support efficient patient flow and positive patient experiences.

The Role

Join Patriot Urgent Care as a full-time Physician (MD/DO) providing timely, compassionate urgent care. Work 13–15 scheduled 12-hour shifts per month, with an expected average of approximately 40 hours per week, accounting for patient volume and care needs that may extend beyond scheduled clinic hours. What You Will Do

Required Qualifications

• Confident clinical assessment, diagnostic, treatment, and urgent care procedure skills
• Strong communication, teamwork, patient service, and EMR documentation skills
• Knowledge of applicable HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and clinical practice requirements
• Occupational health and DOT examination experience or willingness to obtain DOT certification preferred
• 13–15 scheduled 12-hour shifts per month, averaging approximately 40 hours per week based on patient volume and care needs
• Schedules established three months in advance, limited weekends, and no on‑call responsibilities
