Job summary

Patriot Urgent Care, a CRH Healthcare company, is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a part-time urgent care role in Prince Frederick, MD. The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and the opportunity to treat a broad range of acute illnesses in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities include evaluating and treating acute conditions, performing procedures, interpreting tests, prescribing medications, and educating patients.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Maryland NP/PA license or eligibility.
• Current FNP or PA certification.
• At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP/PA-C.
• Active DEA registration or ability to obtain one.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current.
• Ability to perform urgent care procedures (suturing, wound care).
• Ability to independently interpret X-ray and other tests.
• Strong clinical judgment and patient-service skills.

What You Will Do

Your responsibilities will include:

• 4 - 15 shifts per month
• 10K Sign-On Bonus
• Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating acute illnesses and injuries
• Performing procedures such as suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ordering and independently interpreting diagnostic tests, including X-rays, laboratory work, and 12-lead EKGs
• Prescribing medications and therapies in accordance with Georgia regulations and clinic protocols
• Educating patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care
• Accurately and efficiently documenting patient encounters
• Collaborating with clinical and operational team members to provide a convenient, caring, and high-quality patient experience

Required Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Maryland Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license, or eligibility to obtain one
• Current certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• At least two years of clinical experience as an FNP or PA-C
• Active DEA registration, or ability to obtain one
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Ability to perform common urgent care procedures, including suturing, splinting, incision and drainage, and wound care
• Ability to independently interpret X-rays and other diagnostic test results
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient-service skills
• Preferred Experience
• Experience in urgent care, emergency medicine, primary care, family medicine, or internal medicine
• Experience practicing in a fast-paced or high-volume clinical environment
