Job summary

Lumbee Group seeks Urgent Care Physicians for Florida locations on a locum-tenens basis. Board-certified physicians with an active FL license and FL DEA are required, able to cover 12-hour shifts across multiple sites with a minimum of six shifts per month.

Candidates must have recent Urgent Care/clinic experience, treat patients aged 2+, and handle 3–4 patients per hour. Procedures include suturing, I&D, digital blocks, pelvic exams, and X-ray review with results contact.

Qualifications

• Board certification required; board-eligible not accepted.
• Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine or relevant specialty.
• Active unrestricted FL medical license and FL DEA.
• Current BLS; ACLS preferred.
• Recent Urgent Care/clinic experience within last year.
• Independent sole-provider capability; ages 2+, 3-4 patients/hour.
• Compact licenses not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care across Florida locations; manage patient flow and care.
• Perform suturing, I&D, and digital blocks.
• Conduct pelvic exams and read chest/extremity X-rays with minimal overread.
• Review labs and personally contact patients with positive results.
• Arrive 15 minutes early, stay until all patients are treated, and accept patients until closing.
• Maintain 12-hour shift coverage; minimum 6 shifts per month.
