Job summary

Lumbee Group in Maryland seeks board-certified Urgent Care physicians to cover multiple locations on a locum tenens basis. Positions feature 12-hour shifts with a minimum of 6 shifts per month across Eldersburg, California, Dunkirk, Solomon, and Laurel.

Candidates must be board-certified, hold an MD license and DEA, have recent urgent care experience, and be able to work as a sole provider for patients aged 2 and up, with 3–4 patients per hour.

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Urgent Care or a closely related field.
• Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine or relevant specialty.
• Active unrestricted MD medical license and MD DEA.
• Current BLS; ACLS preferred.
• Recent Urgent Care/clinic experience within last year.
• Independent sole-provider capability; ages 2+; 3-4 patients/hour.
• Compact licenses not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care coverage across Maryland locations on a 12-hour shift basis.
• Arrive 15 minutes early and stay until patients are treated.
• Accept patients until closing; last check-in 8:00 PM.
• Read chest and extremity X-rays and review labs; contact patients with positive results.
