Job summary

The Medical Society of the State of New York is seeking a Physician Assistant to join a busy Urgent Care in Brooklyn. You will examine patients, order tests, diagnose and treat injuries and illnesses under physician supervision.

Ideal candidates have ER/urgent care experience, strong attention to detail, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This full-time role offers competitive pay, PTO, health insurance, and CME credits, with shifts from 10 AM to 10 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience in Emergency Room or Urgent Care preferred.
• Ability to examine patients, diagnose injuries/illnesses, and provide treatment under supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Interview, examine, and diagnose patient injuries/illnesses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and suggest lifestyle changes.
• Review and maintain patient histories and progress notes.
• Provide documentation for insurance companies.
• Educate and counsel patients and families.
• Research latest treatments and trends in medicine.
• Work with a well-established Urgent Care team.
