Job summary

BAS HealthCare is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for an urgent care site in Salisbury, NC. The candidate will treat adults and children, perform minor procedures, and manage high daily patient volumes in a fast-paced setting.

Requirements include an active NC license and DEA, NCCPA boards, BLS, and at least 12 months of clinical practice. EPIC EMR proficiency is mandatory, with training provided. Credentialing takes ~20 days, and the role is ASAP through ongoing.

Qualifications

• Must be local and reside in Salisbury, NC area; travel and lodging not provided.
• Must have an active NC license and an active NC DEA.
• Board certification required (BC/NCCPA/NP Boards); BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 12 months of clinical experience; new graduates will not be considered.
• Experience treating both adult and pediatric patients (6 months and older).
• Provider will function as the sole provider in the center and must handle high patient volumes (up to 60 patients/day).
• Up to 40 patient encounters per shift.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR is required; training provided and mandatory.
• Credentialing timeframe ~20 days; agency credentialing accepted with Medicare Enrollment only.
• Licensed in NC; IMLC not applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide urgent care for adults and pediatrics, including minor procedures (laceration repair, ear irrigation).
• Manage high patient volumes with efficiency and clinical judgment.
• Work as the sole provider at the center; coordinate with offsite supervising physician as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation and EPIC EMR entries for all encounters.

Opportunity

Advanced Practice – Physician Assistant in Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Pediatrics, Acute Care, Hospitalist, Critical Care/Intensive Care, and Urgent Care.

Job Details

• Must be local and already reside in the immediate Salisbury, NC area – travel and lodging are not provided.
• Must have an active NC license and an active NC DEA.
• Board certification required (BC/NCCPA/NP Boards); BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 12 months of clinical experience required; new graduates will not be considered.
• Must have experience treating both adult and pediatric patients (6 months and older).
• Provider will function as the sole provider in the center and must be able to manage high patient volumes (up to 60 patients per day; average of 45 at this site).
• Up to 40 patient encounters per shift.
• Must possess strong soft skills for one‑on‑one interactions with support staff and patients.
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR is required; modified training will be provided and is mandatory.
• Training occurs on set Wednesdays and provider must be able to participate prior to being scheduled for shifts.
• Clinical screening/interview required before onboarding; provider must pass before moving forward.
• Scope of practice includes urgent care for adults and pediatrics, laceration repair, ear irrigation, and other minor procedures.
• No call requirements; supervising physician provided offsite for locum APPs.
• Credentialing timeframe is approximately 20 days; agency credentialing accepted with HCO processing Medicare Enrollment only.
• Licensed in NC only; IMLC not applicable.
• Position is ASAP through ongoing.

Compensation
