Job summary

CareNow Urgent Care in the South Austin area is seeking a full-time, board-certified physician assistant to float across clinics (Buda, San Marcos, Kyle, Bastrop) or work from home when possible. The role includes urgent and acute care for pediatric and adult patients, with procedures such as I&Ds and suturing, and first reads on X-rays.

You will need Texas licensure and DEA, and must be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Qualifications

• Comfortable seeing ages three months and up.
• Ability to work independently.
• Board certified Physician Assistant.
• Texas state medical licensure and DEA.
• Ability to perform first reads on X‑rays.
• Skills to perform patient treatment procedures for most acute illnesses or injuries including pediatric and adult care, I&Ds, suturing, etc.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a wide range of urgent and acute medical cases.
• Provide care for pediatric and adult patients.
• Perform and interpret first reads on X-rays as needed.
• Collaborate with clinic teams across multiple south Austin locations.
