UNC Health is seeking an Urgent Care Medical Director (MD/DO)!

The Medical Director will oversee Urgent Care services at Carolina Pointe II in Chapel Hill, NC, and Hillsborough in Hillsborough, NC.

Key Responsibilities Include:

1. Attend local quality meetings and support quality improvements
2. Review and approve patient discharge requests before submission to the Experience Team
3. Participate in practice provider recruitment and interviews
4. Attend Medical Director meetings
5. Review and approve provider PTO requests
6. Assist with physician and APP onboarding
7. Handle conflict resolution
8. Conduct monthly provider and team meetings
9. Attend quarterly financial meetings with the Director of Operations and Practice Manager
10. Review practice metrics and templates quarterly
11. Perform annual provider reviews
12. Ensure appropriate APP supervision in the practice

Clinic Hours: Sunday - Saturday, 8 am - 8 pm

Qualifications:

• Urgent Care experience is required
• MD/DO from an accredited medical school
• Leadership experience is a plus
• Board certification
• NC State License preferred
• FCVS profile preferred for those without NC license (not mandatory)
