Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support both front-end and clinical operations across our urgent care sites. You will take patient histories, record vital signs, and assist providers with exams and procedures to deliver fast, quality care.

Qualifications

• Six months+ experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role or equivalent education/certification in a related healthcare field.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Experience in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or Phlebotomy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy for sample collection if certified.
• Complete lab paperwork and computer entries for tests.
• Perform point-of-care tests (strep, influenza, glucose, etc.).
• Coordinate records for ancillary care and schedule follow-ups.
• Assist providers with exams and procedures to improve efficiency.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and equipment functionality.
• Stock exam rooms and ensure good patient flow.
• Document patient histories and exam findings in the EMR.
