Job summary

WellNow Urgent Care is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support front-end and clinical operations across our busy urgent care sites. You will take patient history, obtain vital signs, assist with exams and testing, and help maintain patient flow.

The role offers competitive hourly pay starting at $19.00, comprehensive benefits including medical coverage, parental leave, continuing education, a 401(k) match, and opportunities for growth as we expand our presence in New York markets.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role.
• Preferred Urgent Care and/or Phlebotomy experience.
• CPR certification and ability to use EMR effectively.

Responsibilities

• Take patient history and obtain vital signs.
• Perform phlebotomy if certified and collect lab samples.
• Complete lab paperwork and order entry in EMR.
• Perform point of care tests (strep, influenza, glucose, urinalysis).
• Coordinate records and assist providers with exams and testing.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure equipment is in good working order.
