Job summary

Urgent Care Associates of Erie is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support providers and staff in a fast-paced urgent care setting in Erie, PA. The role blends medical assisting with front-desk duties to ensure smooth patient flow and quality care.

You will be cross-trained for Medical Assistant and Front Desk tasks, handling patient intake, vital signs, basic procedures, injections, and documentation. Willingness to work day shifts and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is preferred.
• Medical terminology and experience in a clinical setting are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments.
• Take patient histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patient for examination and treatment.
• Assist physicians in preparing for minor procedures.
• Administer injections as directed.
• Dispense medications as directed.
• Document patient information accurately for providers and billing.
• Schedule tests and treatments and coordinate referrals.
• Maintain neat, stocked work areas and front office.
