Job summary

Urgency Room is hiring Paramedics for Minnesota locations including Vadnais Heights. You will deliver high-quality patient care, support assessment, treatment, monitoring, and education as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.

The main duties include following clinician-directed care plans, documenting vital signs and clinical data, performing IV access, medication administration, EKGs, and operating life-support equipment to ensure safe, efficient patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Paramedic program.
• Current Minnesota Paramedic certification.
• Minimum of two years EMS experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications current.

Responsibilities

• Implement and follow the patient care plan established by the clinician.
• Collect, assess, and document vital signs, EKGs, and other clinical data.
• Perform IV cannulation, phlebotomy, medication administration, oxygen therapy, and sedation assistance.
• Operate defibrillators, monitors, and other life-support equipment.
• Administer medications under clinician direction per policy.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to the care team.
• Provide patient and family education and document in the EMR.

Education

Graduate of an accredited Paramedic program

Minnesota Paramedic certification

EMS experience (2+ years)
