Job summary

NextCare in Marble Falls, TX is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join a fast-paced urgent care team. This role offers variety, autonomy, and meaningful community impact while delivering high-quality care in a supportive environment.

Clinicians enjoy a balanced schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week, no after-hours tasks, and schedules released in advance. You’ll work with experienced teams and clear guidelines to maintain work-life balance.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas license as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• NP: ANCC or AANP certification required; FNP required.
• PA: NCCPA certification required.
• Active DEA license or ability to obtain.
• Ability to treat patients of all ages.
• Active BLS certification.
• EHR proficiency.
• Willingness to work occasional weekends and holidays.
• DOT certification required or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute illnesses, injuries, and occupational health visits.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies, including labs and imaging.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as suturing and wound management, as applicable.
• Clearly communicate diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently in the EHR.
• Code and bill services appropriately.
• Maintain productivity consistent with urgent care benchmarks.
• Practice in alignment with NextCare clinical standards and values.
