Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care in Oregon seeks an Urgent Care Advanced Practitioner (PA/NP) to provide a wide range of clinical services for acute episodic conditions, functioning in collaboration with physicians as needed. Strong assessment skills and the ability to triage to ED when necessary are essential.

The role requires relevant degrees and licensure, 2–5 years post-residency experience, and preferred urgent care/ER background.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's degree for Physician Assistants.
• Master's degree for Nurse Practitioners.
• 2–5 years of post-residency clinical experience.
• Active state medical licensure; National Certification.
• Urgent care or ER experience preferred.
• Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).

Responsibilities

• Examining and treating patients.
• Taking patients' medical histories.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X-rays.
• Making diagnoses and prescribing medications.
• Treating minor injuries requiring sutures, splints, or casting.
• Recording progress notes for follow-up patients.
• Educating and counseling patients.
• Ordering and/or carrying out therapy, including vaccinations.
• Refer patients to additional care.
• Work shifts of 4, 8, or 12 hours as assigned.
