Baylor Scott & White Health in Dallas invites a compassionate Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care across diverse ages in a fast-paced setting, with support from a collaborative network of clinicians.

We seek a PA with a Texas license, NCCPA certification, and at least 1 year of urgent care or primary care experience. BLS within 30 days of hire, and a commitment to teamwork and excellence are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA program.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in urgent care or similar setting.
• Current NCCPA certification and Texas PA license.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the physical and mental condition of patients via exams and histories.
• Orders, interprets laboratory tests to assess health needs.
• Prescribes medications and treatments within scope of practice.
• Develops outcomes-based treatment plans with supervising physician.
• Counsels patients and families about management and medications.
• Maintains patient records and initiates referrals when needed.
• Provides consultation for PA scope-related conditions.
• Performs invasive procedures as delegated by supervising physician.
• May cover beyond regular schedule as needed.
