Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health in the DFW area is seeking a compassionate Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team. This licensed, credentialed provider delivers direct patient care with delegated prescriptive authority within the supervising physician's scope.

Qualifications

• Active Texas Physician Assistant license.
• NCCPA board certification.
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of urgent care or related clinical experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive or problem-focused physical exams and medical histories.
• Orders and interprets labs and diagnostic tests to assess health needs.
• Prescribes and manages therapies within scope of practice with supervision.
• Develops outcomes-based treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
• Counsels patients and families on medications, health plans, and lifestyle.
• Maintains accurate records and initiates referrals when needed.
• Provides consultation level services for conditions within specialty.
• May perform invasive procedures as delegated.
