Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Physician Assistant Float for Urgent Care in Central Indiana. The PA will provide broad clinical services across ages, diagnose and treat acute conditions, and escalate to emergency services when needed.

The role involves independent practice alongside physicians, performing minor procedures, and documenting care in the EMR with a focus on patient-centered experiences in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of full-time experience as a licensed PA or NP in an Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine setting.
• Experience treating both pediatric and adult patient populations.
• Comfortable performing minor procedures including suturing, casting, and splinting.
• Proficient in preliminary reads of EKGs and X-rays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical exams and review patient medical histories.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging.
• Diagnose conditions and prescribe appropriate treatments or medications.
• Perform minor procedures including suturing, splinting, and casting.
• Document patient encounters and treatment plans in the EMR.
• Educate and counsel patients on care and prevention.
