Job description

We are searching for a full-time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Boston Back Bay, MA. The NP or PA will assist in patient care and support staff in providing care. Reports to the Center Administrator and Lead Physician.

Centers are open 7 days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM, Monday – Friday, and 8 AM to 5 PM on weekends. Full-time and part-time openings are available, with 36-hour work weeks and full benefits.

Salary: $60 per hour or negotiable.

Qualifications:

  • Valid NP or PA License
  • Some Urgent Care experience required
  • Current CPR certification
  • Understanding of universal precautions, HIPAA, and OSHA
  • Outgoing, friendly demeanor
  • Team player with excellent communication skills, adaptable, able to multi-task, work independently, and possess strong client interaction skills

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform triage of newly registered patients
  • Direct patients to examination rooms and prepare rooms based on patient complaints
  • Collect specimens and perform tests as requested
  • Ensure rooms are cleaned after each patient encounter
  • Perform wound care and electrocardiograms when indicated
  • Monitor medical supplies with the center administrator
  • Follow up with patients to ensure satisfaction
  • Assist physicians with patient care as needed
  • Sterilize all medical instruments after use
  • Interview clinical staff and ensure compliance with protocols
  • Assist with laboratory functions, including running controls and troubleshooting
  • Schedule nursing staff to ensure coverage during all hours
  • Perform other duties as assigned
