Job description

We are searching for a full-time Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our team in Boston Back Bay, MA. The NP or PA will assist in the care of patients and direct staff in the support of care for patients. Reports to the Center Administrator and Lead Physician.

Centers are open 7 days per week from 8 AM to 8 PM, Monday – Friday and 8 AM to 5 PM on weekends. Full-time and part-time openings available, 36-hour work weeks and full benefits.

Salary: $60 per hour or above negotiable.

Qualifications:

  • Valid NP or PA License
  • Some Urgent Care experience required
  • Current CPR certification
  • Demonstrated understanding of the concepts of universal precautions, HIPAA, and OSHA
  • Outgoing, friendly demeanor
  • Team player, excellent verbal and communication skills, adaptable in different situations, possesses excellent client interaction skills, able to multi-task and work independently.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform triage of newly registered patients
  • Direct patients to available examination rooms and ensure rooms are set up based on patient initial complaint
  • Collect biological specimens and perform testing when requested
  • Ensure each room is cleaned after each patient encounter
  • Wound care when indicated
  • Perform Electrocardiograms when indicated
  • Work in conjunction with the center administrator to monitor medical supplies
  • Work in conjunction with the nursing staff to call back patients to ensure patient satisfaction
  • Assist physician with patient care when requested
  • Sterilization of all medical instruments after use
  • Interview clinical staff
  • Ensure center compliance with medical protocols
  • Assist medical director with the proper functioning of laboratory – including running controls, proficiency testing, troubleshooting instrument problems
  • Scheduling of nursing staff to ensure coverage during all hours of operation
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
