Job summary

Corewell Health Urgent Care in Rochester, MI is hiring an Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for an on-site role. You will collaborate with center physicians to plan, evaluate and provide high-quality medical care to adults and children, while ensuring patient satisfaction and efficient resource use.

The role requires board eligibility/board certification, Michigan licensure, DEA, DOT, and current BLS. Prior urgent care or family/emergency medicine experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in state of practice.
• Advanced degree from NP/PA program.
• Licensed NP/PA in Michigan.
• Current DEA registration.
• DOT certification.
• Experience suturing and drainage.
• Experience reading X-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (provided if needed).
• Meets credentialing requirements for WellStreet Urgent Care.
• Urgent Care / Family Medicine / Emergency Medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate and implement high quality medical care with resource management for adults and children.
• Deliver care per service standards and patient satisfaction expectations.
• Provide care and serve as resource for patients, families and staff.
• Document all services and maintain accurate records for reimbursement.
• Complete necessary documentation and ensure communication for care continuity.
• Participate in meetings to support urgent care operations.
• Maintain certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS or NALS) and other trainings.
• Report to Regional Medical Director and Area Clinical Operations Director.
