Job summary

The Indian Health Service, Northern Cheyenne Service Unit, seeks a qualified nurse to deliver high-acuity care across the life span. You will exercise expert clinical judgement in rapidly changing situations and report to the Supervisory Nurse.

Qualifications

• Requires a nursing degree and licensure (RN) in the U.S.
• Master's degree in professional nursing preferred for GS-9/11.
• Experience in high-acuity, life-span nursing care favored.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing assessment and triage for acute illnesses or trauma.
• Evaluate clinical data and determine appropriate care.
• Administer medications and other treatments per plan.
• Perform emergency and resuscitative procedures.
• Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Coordinate emergency care with the team for continuity.
• Document assessments and care plans in health records.
