Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care team in California. You will provide high-quality, evidence-based care for acute illnesses and minor injuries in a fast-paced ambulatory setting, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with independence while collaborating with physicians and the healthcare team.

Qualifications

• California NP or PA licensure is required, with furnishing number and DEA registration.
• National certification and BLS are required; ACLS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and injuries.
• Obtain medical histories and perform age-appropriate exams.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests including labs and imaging.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe medications.
• Perform urgent care procedures such as laceration repair, splinting, and wound care.
• Coordinate transfers to ED or specialty services when needed.
• Educate patients and document encounters in the EMR.
