Job summary

Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation in Los Angeles seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Urgent Care team. You will evaluate, diagnose, and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and minor injuries in a fast-paced ambulatory setting, collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

The role requires current California license (NP/PA), furnishing number, DEA registration, national certification, and BLS; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

Must hold California NP or PA license and be in good standing.
Furnishing number and DEA registration required.
National certification required.
BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute illnesses and minor injuries in a fast-paced urgent care setting.
Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform age-appropriate physical examinations.
Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic tests including labs and imaging.
Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate.
Perform common urgent care procedures and assist with transfers to higher levels of care.
Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, and follow-up care; document encounters accurately in the EMR.
