Job summary

American Family Care (AFC) is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our urgent care team. You will assess, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages in a fast-paced outpatient setting, manage acute conditions, and perform minor procedures.

You will order tests, counsel on care plans, and collaborate with supervising physicians. We offer a 100% outpatient model with competitive base pay plus bonuses, flexible shifts, strong team support, and ongoing CME resources to advance

Qualifications

• Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with an active state license.
• 2+ years of urgent care, family medicine, or emergency care experience.
• Skilled in urgent care procedures and fast-paced clinic environments.
• Active BLS certification or ability to obtain within onboarding period.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients in an urgent care setting.
• Manage acute conditions, infections, and injuries.
• Perform minor procedures such as suturing, splinting, and incision & drainage.
• Order and interpret tests (labs, X-rays, EKGs).
• Counsel patients on care plans and preventive health strategies.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation.
• Collaborate with supervising physicians and team members to ensure quality care.
