Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking an Urgent Care Advanced Practitioner (PA/NP) to deliver clinical services for acute episodic conditions such as sore throats, colds, flu-like symptoms, and minor injuries. The role supports physicians and requires excellent assessment skills.

Candidates should have a DPA or equivalent for PAs, a Master’s for NPs, 2–5 years post-residency experience, and active licensure. This per diem position requires a commitment of two shifts per month.

Qualifications

• DPA or equivalent for Physician Assistants.
• Master’s Degree for Nurse Practitioners.
• 2–5 years of post‑residency clinical experience.
• Minimum 18 months experience in an applicable practice setting.
• Adult and pediatric practice experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Examining and treating patients.
• Taking patients’ medical histories.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and X‑rays.
• Making diagnoses and prescribing medications.
• Treating minor injuries that may require sutures, splints, or casting.
• Recording progress notes for follow-up patients.
• Educating and counseling patients.
• Ordering and/or carrying out therapy with patients.
• Giving vaccinations, and referring patients to additional care.
• Each provider will work an anticipated four (4), eight (8) or twelve (12) hours per shift as assigned.
• All other duties as assigned.
