Job summary

Prisma Health Urgent Care seeks a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to deliver high-quality medical care in a fast-paced setting, partnering with center physicians to serve both adult and pediatric patients.

The role emphasizes patient-centered service, documentation accuracy, and collaboration. This on-site, full-time position offers a supportive team, competitive benefits, and a generous sign-on bonus of up to $7,500.

Qualifications

• Current and valid license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C or FNP-BC) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in accordance with the state of South Carolina.
• Advanced degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program of study.
• Current DEA registration.
• Experience with procedures including suturing and drainage of abscesses.
• Experience with reading diagnostic studies including x-rays and EKGs.
• BLS certification (we will provide this if needed).
• Meets eligibility requirements for credentialing set forth by WellStreet Urgent Care.
• Experience in Urgent Care, Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, evaluate, and implement high-quality care for adult and pediatric patients with center physicians.
• Deliver patient satisfaction by adhering to service standards.
• Document and maintain accurate patient records and ensure proper communication for reimbursement.
• Participate in meetings and activities to support urgent care operations.
• Maintain certifications (BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS, or NALS) and pursue ongoing professional development.
