Job summary

WesTex Urgent Care is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Midland, Odessa, and Andrews, Texas teams. You will provide high-quality urgent care across a patient-focused setting with physician leadership and modern facilities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Active Texas NP or PA license.
• Current DEA registration (or ability to obtain).
• Board Certified (ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS preferred).
• DOT Medical Examiner Certification is a plus but not required.
• Urgent Care or Emergency Medicine experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages with a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries.
• Order and interpret diagnostic testing, including laboratory studies, X-rays, and EKGs.
• Develop evidence-based treatment plans and prescribe medications as appropriate.
• Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, splinting, incision and drainage, wound care, and other in-office procedures.
• Provide occupational medicine services, including DOT physicals and Workers' Compensation evaluations.
• Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care.
• Document patient encounters accurately using Athena EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to deliver efficient, patient-centered care.
