Job summary

LCMC Health seeks a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner for urgent care on a full-time basis. You will evaluate acute illnesses and minor injuries, perform exams, order labs and imaging, and implement evidence-based treatment plans in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s Degree in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Studies.
• Active, unrestricted Louisiana APRN or PA license (or eligible temporary permit).
• DEA registration and Louisiana CDS license.
• BLS certification – American Heart Association.
• ACLS certification – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat a wide range of acute illnesses and minor injuries.
• Perform physical exams and patient assessments with speed and accuracy.
• Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
• Perform minor procedures including wound care, suturing, splinting, and infection management.
